Organic Sulawesi Toraja Sesean Sapan
The highest grown coffees in Indonesia come from the island of Sulawesi (formerly known as Celebes). The mountainous region of Toraja is the most well-known part of the coffee growing area. Most of the coffee is grown on small plots of land and on family farms making the beans a low-quantity/high-demand coffee in the international market. The coffee is grown organically using only natural fertilizers from farm animals. Sulawesi coffee has been described as having an “earthy” flavor and a deep, creamy texture. We roast it dark and you’ll appreciate hints of Baker’s chocolate, vanilla and cedar. $12 per lb.
